Asia-careers.com services are available to the "USER" described as users seeking for employment "job seekeers" or users seeking employees "employers" or users seeking advertising opportunities "advertisers". 2. Membership and Obligations
Asia-careers.com is the graduate recruitment platform of the company as required by its business needs, partners, customers and members are required to register to use the website recruitment services. Upon being registered and login to this platform or any related other company business platforms, the USER agrees to fulfill his obligation by:
- Providing true information at any circumstances
- Keeping the company noticed of the USER's most up-to-date information
- Obeying local and related laws and regulations regarding the company regular business processes
- Protecting and NOT to abuse any marketing material including but not limited to logo, text, graphics of the website
The membership is divided into two types:
- job seekers, candidates of the company
- employers or advertisers, clients of the company & partners
3. Privacy and Personal Information
Asia-careers.com is a leading global graduate recruitment website working on an annual basis with thousands of graduates world-wide. The company reputation as a recruiter is reliant on USER's trust and consequently the effective and professional use of the information the USER provides the website is paramount.
Here is outlined how the company will use the information that the USER submit to the website. If the USER has any concerns, questions or queries the USER shall contact the website administrator. The USER who submits information to the website warrants that the information provided is complete, true and accurate in all respects.
The company will use job seekers' information and the subsequent information collected about them to create a database. This database and the information it contains may be used by the company and its clients for the purpose of assessing job seekers' suitability, qualifications and skills for current recruitment assignments and - in some specific instances - recruitment assignments which the company thinks may be of interest to job seekers in the future.
The company may transfer this database & assessment reports, including all personal data contained in it, to a third party who acquires all or substantially all of the assets or stock in the company & subsidiaries or the website service whether by merger, acquisition, re-organization or otherwise.
In some instances the company may be required to take up references, credit checks and other lawful checks. The company may record and store any telephone calls the USER has with the company's consultants or support staff for record keeping, training, and quality control purposes.
Unless specifically requested otherwise by the USER the company will use contact information such as the USER's email address, telephone number and address the USER supplies the website to contact the USER. As a website dedicated to forwarding the careers of all candidates/graduates the company talks to, the company may also contact the USER about the website hosted forums, breakfast meetings (in the USER's country of origin) and other services and products which the company thinks may be of benefit or interest to the USER.
4. Cookies
When using the website the company may place certain information automatically onto the USER's computer hard drive when the USER views the Website; a "Cookie". This is in order to help the company provide and improve its services to the USER. If the USER wishes to reject the website cookie, the USER may configure his/her browser to do so. For further information about this the USER shall refer to his/her Internet browser software instructions or help screen.
5. Hyperlinks to other websites
The website provides, from time to time, hyperlinks to other websites outside Asia-careers.com. If the USER uses these hyperlinks then he/she will be leaving Asia-careers.com therefore his/her access and use of those websites will not be governed by the website Privacy Statement. It is the USER's responsibility to check the other websites and any privacy policies that may govern those websites to find out how the USER's data will be treated by the operators of those websites.
6. Advertising
The company shall provide employers or advertisers with use of its advertising area under the terms and conditions of a company contract. The company may, at its discretion and without recourse to the employer or advertiser, modify or withhold any material submitted by the employer or advertiser for promotion. The employer or advertiser takes full responsibility for any person (whether or not authorized by them) who uses the employer or advertiser's username and password to access the website. The company shall not be liable for any consequences, including financial loss or damages, arising out of any usage of the employer or advertiser's username or password to access the website. The employer or advertiser acknowledges that the company may refuse to post additional adverts once the agreed number of adverts has been published for the term. The employer or advertiser shall notify the company when the advert(s) is/are ready for publication on the website.
When advertising or posting any information on the website, all parties represent, warrant and undertake that each posting or advert:
Will not contain absence, indecent or any other unlawful material;
Will not contain materials which infringe copyright laws, trademark rights, moral rights or any intellectual property rights of any third party;
Will comply with all applicable legislation, codes and practices from which the countries adverts are targeted and that these adverts will not discriminate on the grounds of sex, racial or disability discrimination;
Will not contain any computer virus;
Will not contain defamatory material;
Will not contain any information or materials which may harm the reputation of the company, its subsidiaries or the website;
The employer or advertiser may use information obtained directly or indirectly from the website, only for hiring purposes, recruitment services and human resource services. The employer or advertiser shall not disclose, distribute, transfer or sell any information to anyone or provide services in competition with or substantially similar to the services provided by the company.
7. CV and information Posting
When the USER posts materials (cv, resume, cover letters or any other information) on the website it must not contain any URL/s, link/s, trade secrets, materials that infringes on any intellectual property rights, publicity or privacy rights of others, any sexually explicit materials, slanderous, defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening abusive and/or anything that is embarrassing to any other company or person.
When submitting any materials to the website, it must contain sufficient details to convey clearly the job seeker qualifications and work experience as a candidate for employment including any information pertaining to work permits and citizenship/s of certain countries.
The USER must not send the website any information impersonating another person, living or dead, false, inaccurate or misleading information, advertisements or solicitations, business opportunities including chain letters, notices and or emails.
8. Removing Personal Information from the website
If the USER wishes his/her personal information to be removed from the website the USER must write to the systems administrator requesting the removal of his/her information. This request must include all of the USER information and when processed will terminate his/her user name and password for the website and all personal information will be removed. The USER information may still be retained however in the company personal database for quality and coaching purposes.
9. Contracts
Any contracts or agreements that arise through the website are to be maintained and resolved externally to the company. If a job seeker is unhappy about any aspect of their employment, it is recommend that the job seeker first attempts to resolve the issues with the employer and then seek assistance from appropriate officials in that country. It is solely the responsibility of the job seeker to bring any legal action against an employer.
10. User Name and Password Login
The company will provide the USER with a user name and password to log into the website. These are personal to the USER and the USER agrees that he/she will not disclose them to anyone else. The company will take no responsibility for the miss-use of this information.
If the USER do not wish for the company to process the USER's information in the way just described or if the USER has any queries about how the company processes the information it stores on the USER then the USER shall contact the administrator.
11. Guarantees for Recruitment
The company gives no guarantee of the availability of any particular job advertised on the website and will not be liable to the job seeker should an employer or advertiser have filled the vacancy at any time prior to removal of the advertisement from the website.
12. Children
The website is not designed for children under the age of 13 years and the company does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.
13. Feedback
The company welcomes ideas and feedback about all aspects of the website. This feedback will be used to administer and refine the service and may be shared with the company partners either in aggregate form or with specific identifying characteristics removed. To submit feedback the USER shall contact the website administrator.
